There are buttons around the edges of the MMfA screen, including in the middle of the sides - you should explore them all. Tap the screen to activate them.

 

Manipulate a map or chart with your fingers. Drag it around the screen with one finger. Expand or shrink it with two fingers.

 

The chart locker icon (bottom left in MMfA) is key to finding charts and many setting up processes. When using it with Antares Charts, always have the screen centred somewhere over the west coast of Scotland. When selecting a chart to view, with the old MM app, the exact centre of the screen had to be precisely over the area of interest. With MMfA, by tapping the chart locker icon you are offered charts that deal with any part of your current view—so you may need to zoom in quite a bit to make it easier to find the chart you want!

 

Our selector charts (one small scale chart covering the whole west coast and eight larger scale selector charts) are there as a guide to our detailed charts. In Memory-Map, the charts are NOT interactive! Tapping or clicking on a chart will not do anything. Use the selector charts as follows:

· Identify the detailed Antares Chart that you want and drag it towards the centre of the screen. Expand it until the rectangle representing the chart fills much of the screen (if you have Marine (UKHO) charts or Ordnance Survey maps, MMfA may jump to the next largest scale chart or map, so don’t zoom too much!)

· Tap on the chart locker icon (bottom left) and you will be offered a range of charts and maps covering all or part of the area on display on the screen. Our charts will be found at the TOP of the list, as they will always be the largest scale but you may have to pick the one you want from a short list.

· Tap on the name of the chart and it will open
